Entrepreneur of the Year - Drop Shots Tennis

Drop Shots Tennis is a unique, one of a kind tennis facility geared specifically to children ages 2 to 8 years old. In today’s society, children are learning sports at a very young age, however the game of tennis does not easily lend itself to small children playing it. Drop Shots Tennis provides a more child-friendly atmosphere to the game of tennis by providing a miniaturized, indoor, and safe tennis facility. By utilizing small courts on a carpet surface, equipped with smaller nets, rackets, and balls, small children will have a much more rewarding tennis experience. Who better to tell you about the experience than Matt Nelsen’s clients; here’s what they had to say:
“Matt Nelsen is a resourceful young man whose business has filled a niche for both harried parents and energetic youngsters. This is a program to teach kids tennis; developing physical skills and a lifetime appreciation of this timeless sport.” ~B. Birdsall
“I would like to nominate Matt Nelsen of Drop Shots Tennis for Entrepreneur of the Year. He has provided a wonderful facility and instructors that offer encouraging words, develop tennis and coordination skills, and build self-esteem in the students.” ~ H. Meyer
“Any individual who takes the time to work with children, especially at this age level, when sports and activity is important, should be recognized. Matt teaches good sportsmanship and the importance of exercise.” ~ D. Mirabal
“Matt Nelsen is an up and coming energetic young man with a sincere passion in developing an interest in tennis in youngsters 2-10 years old. Not only does he want to help foster a love [of] tennis in children, but to give them good exercise habits and possibly ignite a life long relationship with tennis. Matt is a hard worker with good wholesome values. I believe his efforts should be recognized in this nomination.” ~ J. Swan
“This innovative company that is focused on teaching children the skill of tennis goes beyond the norm of a sporting facility by providing children with a safe environment to interact with peers and facilitate a growing need for a physical outlet. This company is the future of what needs to happen across the country to get kids moving and involved in a productive social outlet which will hopefully lead them to lifelong desire to be active and socially involved.” ~ L.
